BCS Agribusiness was established in 2002 as a supplier of Project and Executive Management services to a range of agricultural organisations and industries.

Working with a large, diverse group of clients and project partners including  government agencies, industry groups and agricultural entities, BCS Agribusiness is an independent consultancy providing services from the paddock to the boardroom across Australia and beyond.

Ben Swain – Principal

Ben Swain has worked in agribusiness since graduating from Wool and Pastoral Science with Honours from the University of New South Wales. This was followed by six years with the Australian Wool Exchange Ltd, where Ben progressed through various positions, concluding his time as Operations Manager.

In 2002 Ben commenced the operations of BCS Agribusiness. He has been running the business as a full time operation ever since.

Ben also manages his own commercial beef and sheep property near Gunnedah, NSW.

Amongst many formal qualifications and memberships, Ben holds qualifications in risk management and wool classing and is a graduate of the Australian Rural Leadership Program.

Mandy Swain – Consultant

Mandy has a long and varied corporate background, working across the recruitment, human resources, political and education industries. Mandy graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and commenced her career in accounting and finance recruitment. She moved to internal human resources with a global investment bank and then a prominent Australian law firm, where she was involved in all aspects of human resources – particularly policy review and development.

Mandy then enjoyed a period working with one of Australia’s top politicians before deciding to further her studies and become a primary school teacher.

After almost 20 years in education, Mandy has now joined the BCS Agribusiness team alongside husband Ben. She is also involved in the management of their commercial beef and sheep property near Gunnedah, NSW.
