Australian Wool Innovation Ltd

BCS Agribusiness has an ongoing, long-term relationship with Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI), working together on multiple programs and projects to deliver realistic, usable information to Australian woolgrowers. This has ranged from managing genetic research projects through to developing glovebox guides for use across the Merino industry. AWI is the Industry Services Body collecting a woolgrower levy and investing this along with Federal Government funding into Research, Development and Extension as well as Marketing to increase the long-term profitability of Australian woolgrowers.

Australian Merino Sire Evaluation Association (AMSEA)

AMSEA is a not-for-profit organisation that oversees Merino Sire Evaluation via a series of trial sites located in the major woolgrowing regions of Australia. Through its innovative programs of benchmarking sires for both measured and visual performance, AMSEA has driven genetic gain by providing ram breeders access to the latest information and results that promote profitability.

Meat and Livestock Australia Ltd

MLA works in collaboration with the Australian Government and the Australian red meat industry. MLA collect an industry levy and government funding to deliver research, development and marketing services for Australian cattle, sheep and goat producers.

MerinoLink

MerinoLink Limited is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to facilitate sheep grower’s and service providers link with information, knowledge, and research. MerinoLink facilitates networks, innovation, technology, genetic opportunities, and research to improve the production and profitability of Merinos around Australia. The education, information and research conducted by MerinoLink is essentially commercially focused.

Sheep Genetics

Sheep Genetics is a service organisation which manages a national database of approximately 3 million sheep using this to provide individual animals with Australian Sheep Breeding Values (or ASBVs) for a range of commercially relevant traits. The Australian sheep industry, MLA and AWI are the partners in this organisation.
